Flood In Delhi – Rise In Water Level In Yamuna River Indicating Danger

The heavy rains have increased the water level in the Yamuna river that flows in Delhi, India which is indicating danger. The reports claim that the levels has crossed the danger mark. The level normally should have been 204.88, but currently it is 22 cm above the danger mark.





In the present scenario, the road transport near the river has come to halt, since the water is overflowing on the roads, even heavy vehicles like buses have half drowned.The reports also state that if the water level rises more, the commuting on the roads will have to be stopped. This will be a major problem for the people, who won’t be able to relocate to their respective destinations.

If this keeps on continuing, the danger for the villages near the Yamuna river is indicated. The villages will be washed off and the farmers will have to burden heavy losses due to the ruining of the crops.
