Anyone claiming to have had a gala time in Bangkok would invariably have people enquiring about one’s visit and experience at these after dark entertainment haunts. Two of the most famed venues for this sinful delight are Soi Cowboy and Nana entertainment Plaza on the Sukhumwit Road. Patpong is yet another popular choice for a colourful night. Be forewarned though, if you are strait-laced, then you might just suffer a heart attack. Jokes aside, a little bit of naughty fun on one’s holidays to Bangkok is pretty harmless.

Hi-fi Clubbing

If you have been blessed with deep pockets, head to the RCA and splurge on the six huge clubs there. Heart thumping R&B, hip hop, and drum and bass are belted out at the bars here. This is one of the places where the cream of the society gathers. Most of the crowd is made up of rich tourists keen to take back some merry reminders of their holidays to Bangkok. Don’t forget to carry a copy of your passport as you may be denied entrance without it.

Affordable Highlights

Bangkok nightlife is not the exclusive privilege of the rich and the famous. Choices are unlimited for the huge army of visitors who manage to finance their Bangkok holidays only after painstakingly saving throughout the year. The Khao San Road is exactly one of those places where you need not pay a bomb for enjoying a pleasurable night during your Thailand holidays. This road is a pub crawler’s delight with rows and rows of easily affordable nightclubs in sight. Step inside one of these and set the dance floor on fire to the beats of hip hop, trance, house, rock, Thai music, drum and bass, or whatever is being dished out at the club. The booze is also pretty cheap in the bars here and you can hook up with plenty of fellow travellers in these areas. Music aficionados with a fetish for live musical performances can head to the nearby Langsuan. In case, after a drink or two you start missing the pubs back home, stake out the British style pubs of Sukhumvit Road.
